This Christmas, a group of Hong Kong musicians gathered in London to perform a concert that blended both holiday spirit and the unique essence of Hong Kong. Musician Lam Wing Tsan Leads Hongkongers in London to Perform “Below the Lion Rock”: A Dedication to Hongkongers Who Don’t Give Up
The conductor of the Ponte London Wind Orchestra is musician Lam Wing Tsan, formerly the principal tuba of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. He founded the Hong Kong Youth Musicians’ Wind Orchestra and taught music at various universities, passing his musical knowledge to the next generation. After moving to the UK, Lam, like many other Hongkongers, went through a journey of self-discovery. Fortunately, through perseverance, not only was he able to continue his professional career in the UK, but he also became a member of the Ponte London Orchestra, a group formed by Hong Kong musicians who have relocated to the UK.
