Plastic waste turned into tulips 🌷 in London for road users
Recently, rows of colourful tulips have appeared on the streets of London🌷—but they’re not garden decorations. They’re brand-new cycle lane bollards made from recycled plastic!
Developed in collaboration between Westminster City Council and a London-based architecture firm, these “tulips” are not only eye-catching but also serve a road safety function, aiming to reduce cycling accidents.
The design was inspired by a personal encounter of designer Luke, who shared with us how one moment on a bike sparked a new vision for London’s streets.
