Neither storm nor clarity, just peace.

The Civic Party, founded in 2006, has officially dissolved after completing its liquidation process. Alan Leong, who served as the party leader for over a decade, stated that history would judge the party’s successes and failures, expressing his personal sentiment as “neither storm nor clarity, just peace”. He emphasised that, being no longer in office, he would not engage in politics or discuss current affairs, nor does he have plans to emigrate. Two years ago, he began a daily 10,000-step routine, which he says has not only improved his health but also brought personal insights. He expressed a commitment to walking alongside those who have chosen to stay in Hong Kong, encouraging Hongkongers to live genuinely in the present and with sincerity.
