Former Legislative Council member Shiu Ka-chun (Bottle) passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 55 due to complications following surgery for stomach cancer. Throughout his life, Siu was deeply involved in social welfare, civil society activism, legislative work, prisoners’ rights advocacy, and theology.

Six of his close companions from different stages of his journey – Banky Yeung, Chan Kin-man, Cheung Chiu-hung, Kenneth Leung, Derek Chu Kong-wai, Professor Kung Lap-yan – share their personal memories of “Ah Chun.”

They believe that the best way to honor Shiu Ka-chun’s memory is to live out his spirit and beliefs.
